Several avalanches  literally cut off the Romanian village of Pucheni from the rest of the world in spring. In addition, the community was short of funds to be able to  ensure that all the inhabitants received supplies.
 
Really tough luck, which Kremsmueller Romania was able to mitigate somewhat. Employees from the company's head office in Ploiesti made their way to the village, 100 kilometres away. Five vehicles, fully loaded with oil, flour, polenta and water. A total of 3,000 kilos of food would be required to make sure that nobody goes hungry in the village. The trip there was made rather difficult  by the blocked roads. It was found that a bumpy forest road was the only safe road to Pucheni. This is where the usual flexibility of Kremsmueller came into play: Within a short time, a tractor was orgnanised to cover the last stretch.
 

In 2007, the Organisation "Concordia" of the Austrian patron Georg Sporschill was also delighted with the support provided. His "City of Children" is located in the immediate vicinity of Kremsmueller in Ploiesti. About 90 children and youth with difficult histories got a new home here. Through material donations and services valued at EUR 45,000, the intellectual and physical abilities and craftsmanship skills of the children can now be promoted even better.
